I also disagree. Some people leave realpics for a while, but then come back (for example, i didn't come here for some time coz I was too busy with school). Some people may lose their internet for a year and want their account still. So definitely not delete. Perhaps make the name available.. Meh. I still think that realpics doesn't have so many users that we have to end our usernames in 01787389223986 or some random number, because of the huge amount of people who already used that name. :P
Plus, the added confusion to someone having the same name as another user used to = lame.
Then again, I never liked the idea of people being allowed to change their usernames. It makes things too much more confusing. I mean, come on, a username is like your identification. :P

I agree.
There should either be sensitivity to the login frequency of the user, i.e. if he/she logged in every few days for a period of 2 years, it should be differentiated from someone that made an account to see what the site was like, and hasn't logged in for a year.

Actually, I was gonna say the username should open up but the original user should be able to get it back if he/she returns to RP, but if I got too busy for the internet and came back later to reconnect with everyone, I wouldn't want all these noobs thinking I'm their 14 yr old e-bf getting all confused.

how about something with premium? lifetime premium names can never be deleted?
I really don't feel like paying 200 bucks or whatever, but depending on the features that came with...
